Our naturally occurring ground barium sulfate pigments, commonly known as Barytes are useful in a variety of applications. In the rubber industry for example, our microfine barytes are used as high density reinforcing fillers of choice to enhance performance, as well as to save cost. They disperse easily, and are non-reactive with acids or alkalis. Owing to it inertness, they have also found application as a fire retardant.
